Texas Tech University – Lubbock, TX

Lubbock, TX - It’s the largest city in Texas’ panhandle, and home to the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Lubbock serves as the economic and agricultural hub. In fact, that’s why Lubbock’s alias is “The Hub City”.

Texas Tech University is the 5th largest college in the great state with an enrollment of nearly 50,000 students and 2,384 as faculty. The Red Raiders are proud members of the Big 12 conference, and Red Raider spirit is never in short supply. Tech is one of the only schools in the world to house a university, law school, and medical school at the same location.

According to the Lubbock Association of Realtors (LAR), home sales for July 2007 in Lubbock fell by 1.2 percent to 411 units on a dollar volume of $53.69 million, compared to year ago sales of 442 units on a dollar volume of $54.39 million. In Lubbock, LAR pegged the median price at $108,500.
